A group of Cabarrus County employees recently received a Ketner Employee Productivity Award from the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners for the Spay/Neuter Improvements for Pets (SNIP) program administered by the Department of Social Services. The $1,000 prize was given for implementation of the County’s innovative program to help low-income pet owners while reducing the cost of running the County-operated animal shelter.
